Meet Diana Jonkman
Our founder, Diana Jonkman, has more than 15 years of cross-industry experience developing award-winning training programs and leading instructional design and mobile technology integration projects.
Before launching Torch Talent Development, she was the Director of Learning and Development for Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews, a popular chain of casual restaurants with approximately 26,000 team members.
Diana Jonkman led the redesign of the company’s 8-week new manager training program, which was credited for evolving the company’s leadership culture, was nominated for the Team Member of the Quarter, and co-designed a 3-week comprehensive leadership development training program.
During her tenure, her team of instructional designers developed training programs and apps that won prestigious industry awards, including Brandon Hall Awards for Best Use of Mobile Learning and Best Use of Games in Training.
Prior to working at the Red Robin International Corporate Office, she worked as a senior instructional designer for Charter Communications and Trimble Navigation.
